About Cobweb Balances

The wallet you access through Metamask is entirely owned and controlled by you. Cobweb cannot access funds without your consent. Various Metamask popup windows will appear to confirm any time funds are being requested, like when a stream starts and ends - please take the time to read and understand them!

Balances that are displayed in Cobweb generally refer to Supertoken balances. These are a special type of token that hold the same value as the 'normal' chain-native token, and can be exchanged with each other. Don't be alarmed if they differ from your normal Ethereum balance. If there's any confusion, feel free to ask on the discussions board.

Displayed balances are usually rounded. Most can be hovered over to show a popup with their exact value.

Balances Pages

This is the balances page:

It shows the current amount of wrapped supertokens you hold in your Metamask wallet. Through the separate buttons, you can upgrade and downgrade tokens. Here's what that looks like:

Upgrading and downgrading tokens converts normal tokens (like ETH) to 'wrapped' versions of tokens (like ETHx) used by the payments platform Cobweb uses, Superfluid. See above for more on supertokens.
