Description

This module configure MariaDB's RPM repository Rhel/Centos and import RPM-GPG-KEY-MariaDB.

Setup

Beginning with mariadb_repo

To configure the MariaDB repository with default parameters, declare the mariadb_repo class.

include mariadb_repo

Usage

Configuring mariadb_repo

class { 'mariadb_repo':
  version  => '106',
}

Can support following versions:

10.2 => 102 (defaults)
10.3 => 103
10.4 => 104
10.5 => 105
10.6 => 106

Configuring modules from Hiera

---
mariadb_repo::version: '106'

Reference

Classes

Public Classes

  • mariadb_repo: Configure the MariaDB repository and import the GPG keys.

Private Classes

  • mariadb_repo::rpm_gpg_key: Import the RPM GPG key for the MariaDB.

Parameters

mariadb_repo

  • ensure: Whether the RPM-GPG-KEY-MariaDB file should exist. Default to present.
  • path: The path to the RPM-GPG-KEY-MariaDB file to manage. Must be an absolute path. Default to '/etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-MariaDB'.

Limitations

This module has been tested on:

  • RedHat Enterprise Linux 7, 8
  • CentOS 7, 8
  • Rocky 8
  • Scientific Linux 7

Development

Running tests

The STNS puppet module contains tests for both rspec-puppet (unit tests) and beaker-rspec (acceptance tests) to verify functionality. For detailed information on using these tools, please see their respective documentation.

Testing quickstart

  • Unit tests (old way):
$ bundle install
$ bundle exec rake lint
$ bundle exec rake validate
$ bundle exec rake spec
  • Unit tests (with pdk):
$ pdk validate --parallel
$ pdk test unit
  • Acceptance tests:
# Set your DOCKER_HOST variable
$ eval "$(docker-machine env default)"

# Run beaker acceptance tests
$ BEAKER_set=centos7 bundle exec rake beaker
