# sfCart Plugin (for symfony 1.4) #

The `sfCartPlugin` is a symfony plugin that provides a e-commerce solution to your symfony projects.
The plugin provides a frontend cart system, and a backend administration system.

## Installation ##

  * Install the plugin (via a package)

        symfony plugin:install sfCartPlugin
    
  * If that doesn't work for some reason, you can try installing the plugin manually.  Download the plugin, and run the same command specifying the file location:
        
        symfony plugin:install sfCartPlugin.tgz
  
  * Activate the plugin in the `config/ProjectConfiguration.class.php`.

  * Enable the modules in your frontend, by editing apps/frontend/config/settings.yml

  * Enable the administration module in your backend.  You can enable it in any application you want, just ensure that you secure it.  Add the following to apps/frontend/config/settings.yml:

  * Build the database, and load the dummy data.  This command rebuilds your existing database:

        php symfony doctrine:build --all --and-load

  * Create a symbolic link to the sfCartPlugin images, css and javascript files:
        
        php symfony plugin:publish-assets
    
  * Include the sfCart CSS and javascript for the frontend (You can use your own download of jQuery if you prefer, but both jQuery and jQueryUI are provided).
    For the frontend, edit the file /apps/frontend/template/layout.php:

## Code Changes ##

Although a lot of work has already been put into this plugin, a lot more needs to be done.  There are plans to move configurable items into the "Settings" section in the future.
For the time being, you will need to be able to read and change code in order to get the most out of this plugin.
