New

  • Torque support (so now you can use an OBD2 bluetooth dongle if you have Torque)
  • Touch the center clock to reset min/max values
  • Classic Beetle theme (in case you're feeling nostalgic)
  • New way of displaying min/max values
  • Improved layout
  • New data elements
  • Many many many performance fixes
  • Removed the graph feature for a moment, it will return in the future

Installation:

  • Uninstall the old version
  • Uninstall the VAG extensions
  • Download the latest vex-vag-service , 2.4 from @martoreto: https://github.com/martoreto/aauto-vex-vag/releases/download/v2.4/aauto-vex-vag-2.4.apk .
  • Download the latest version of Performance Monitor.
  • Reinstall the latest versions of both apks, be sure to grant rights from the Performance Monitor Settings app!
  • If you want to use the Torque data elements, make sure you have installed Torque, enabled full plugin access in the settings. And, of course, you need a working OBD2 dongle connected to Torque.

Note: Google blocks custom AA apps on Google Play Services > v12.15.21 and AA v3.0. Find a workaround. I will not include any app-enabling/root features in my app.
There are several apps enabling custom apps, but you need root access. Do a search on XDA developers to find something of your liking.

Known bugs:

  • Enabling logging can slow the app down.
  • Since I've overhauled ALL the data elements, there are probably one or more elements that have the wrong units displayed or something like that.
