Learn about vigilant mode.
  • use sudo DEBIAN_FRONTEND=noninteractive apt install ./nm-exp-active-netrics-v0.1.11-arm64.deb to install, use --reinstall if you have an older ver installed
  • run as root: yes | DEBIAN_FRONTEND=teletype dpkg-reconfigure wireshark-common to allow tshark to run as netrics (non root).
  • make sure you have a .env.netrics file in place at /etc/nm-exp-active-netrics/.env.netrics for direct influxdb data ingestion (optional, more on README.md)
  • please use /etc/nm-exp-active-netrics/nm-exp-active-netrics.toml to edit your test preferences
  • add your user to sudoers with username ALL=(ALL) NOPASSWD: ALL, so you can run netrics from your user account
    check logs with netrics -L and health with netrics -C
