##### Installing the operator on an OpenShift cluster using the RedHat catalog

**NOTE**: PMEM-CSI operator will go into sustaining mode starting Red Hat
OpenShift platform 4.11. The last validation cycle for Red Hat OpenShift CSI
Operator Certification and Badging is on 4.10. Intel is winding down future
development and contributions including, but not limited to, maintenance, bug
fixes, new releases, or updates, to this project.

The current release of the PMEM-CSI driver and operator will
continue to be maintained and supported until EOL of Intel Optane PMem. New releases,
new features and bug fixes will be restricted only to business-critical
cases. Reference [Intel’s Optane Business Unit Closure
announcement](https://d1io3yog0oux5.cloudfront.net/_7476eb634cf21033bf2ce4974e02203e/intel/db/887/8856/prepared_remarks/Intel-CEO-CFO-2Q22-earnings-statements-1.pdf).

If you run an OpenShift cluster, then it is recommended to install the PMEM-CSI operator by
following the instructions shown by "Deploy & use" on [RedhatCatalog](https://catalog.redhat.com/software/operators/detail/612cd31535f8020a3f8bd5f2).
The recommended approach is "Installing from OperatorHub using the web console".
