  • Complete Information (CI): This is based on the method proposed in "Pérez, J.F., Pacheco-Sanchez, S. and Casale, G. An Offline Demand Estimation Method for Multi-Threaded Applications. Proceedings of MASCOTS 2013, 2013"

  • Utilization-based optimization (UBO): This is based on the method proposed in "Liu, Z., Wynter, L., Xia, C. H. and Zhang, F. Parameter inference of queueing models for IT systems using end-to-end measurements. Performance Evaluation, Elsevier, 2006."

  • Utilization-based regression (UBR), MINPS, ERPS: These are based on the method proposed in "Q. Zhang, L. Cherkasova, and E. Smirni. A Regression-Based Analytic Model for Dynamic Resource Provisioning of Multi-Tier Applications. Proceedings of the Fourth International Conference on Autonomic Computing, 2007."

  • FCFS regression (FCFS): This is based on the method proposed in "Kraft, S., Pacheco-Sanchez, S., Casale, G., Dawson, S. Estimating service resource consumption from response time measurements. Proceedings of the Fourth International ICST Conference on Performance Evaluation Methodologies and Tools. 2009"

  • Gibbs sampling approach (GQL): This is based on the method proposed in "Wang, Weikun, and Giuliano Casale. "Bayesian service demand estimation with Gibbs sampling." Proc. of IEEE MASCOTS. 2013."
