🚨 Severity: MEDIUM
πŸ’‘ Vulnerability: The application used http.Get() which relies on http.DefaultClient. This client lacks timeouts, meaning an attacker could provide an unresponsive URL, causing the application to hang indefinitely and consume system resources (goroutines, file descriptors).
🎯 Impact: Potential Denial of Service (DoS) due to resource exhaustion if multiple untrusted/malicious endpoints are queried.
πŸ”§ Fix: Replaced http.Get() with a custom http.Client configured with a 10-second timeout in addScriptPlugin and addFromDirectURL.
βœ… Verification: Ran go test ./... and go build ./... to ensure no functionality is broken. Code has been verified to instantiate and use a custom http.Client correctly.
