    • Significant challenges are posed for existing detection approaches to detect fake news on emergent events, where large-scale labeled datasets are difficult to obtain. This paper proposed an end-to-end fake news detection framework named MetaFEND, which is able to learn quickly to detect fake news on emergent events with a few verified posts.

  • WWW-2019 A topic-agnostic approach for identifying fake news pages.

To address this challenge, this paper proposed a topic-agnostic (TAG) classification strategy that uses topic-agnostic (linguistic and web-markup) features to identify fake news pages.
