I am an investigative and data journalist, who combines traditional methodologies and techniques with data, Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) and artificial intelligence tools to deconstruct major news events, conflict issues, human rights violations, investigate irregularities, corruption and money laundering; among other topics.
I use emerging methodologies and techniques to find and analyze clues in open source materials such as photographs, images, audio and video, satellite imagery, aircraft, ship and train tracking, websites, social media posts, databases, government documents and corporate records. Also, identification and tracking of persons of interest. By thoroughly interrogating these digital elements, especially the visual ones, and employing forensic methodologies, techniques and tools, I seek ways to find the truth.
