Security-oriented engineer focused on developer tooling for humans and agents.
Some of the nice things I did/doing
- Staff engineer & tech lead at CloudQuery (env0) - open source ELT framework, plus an internal fleet of AI agents that people trigger and steer from wherever they already work
- Previously lead maintainer Netlify CLI, contributor to Netlify Framework Info and Netlify Build
- Previously lead maintainer Netlify CMS, now Decap CMS
- Bound Parquet write batches by bytes, not only by rows - writing wide rows went from crashing at 6.59 GB peak memory to writing correctly at 2.57 GB. Taken over and merged by ClickHouse's CTO with my commits kept
- Fixed Parquet size statistics being counted twice when the dictionary falls back - the size estimate was 54% too high
- Added integration tests for wide-row Parquet memory over
s3()- caught a memory regression before it reached ClickHouse Cloud - 3x improvement in memory allocations in ClickHouse Go SDK. Pushed ClickHouse to fix this on the server side
- Fixed panic when scanning nullable JSON
- 10 fixes to a third party ClickHouse SQL parser - keyword handling,
union distinctparsing, AST traversal
- Reported and helped fix quadratic
HTMLCollectioniteration, with tests and benchmarks - copying a collection is ~15x faster at 500 elements and ~150x at 2,000. Together with a local workaround, cut a large frontend test suite from 25.9 to 13.5 minutes
- Added configurable Timestamp output layout
- Fixed int8/uint8 JSON marshaling after discovering int64/uint64 data loss
- Discovered memory issues in AWS S3 Go SDK and suggested a fix that was later adopted
- Discovered memory issues in Azure Go SDK - plus 14 issues filed covering wrong API versions, pagination bugs, and missing data
- Reported breaking changes shipped as minor versions in AWS SDK and Google Cloud Go SDK
- Fixed retry re-auth in Okta Go SDK
