Great find! How was this working before? Did we pull in a new release of something since the last successful run of this action?

@ctreatma the only real difference between the previous job that works and now is a new version of the image runner, I can't test with the old version as it's impossible to specify an image version.

• it was working on: ubuntu22/20221212.1 (Git 2.38.2 (apt source repository: ppa:git-core/ppa))
• and it fails on: ubuntu22/20230129.2 (Git 2.39.1)
