yooo, here's what i've been messing with this week

  1. RAINBOWS
  2. Scaling cubes based on distance from camera
  3. Rotating the tube over time

check it out and let me know what you think.

not going to merge this because the code is awful :D

one other crazy idea i have is to make the spectrum analyzer be over time

so the closest ring to you is the analyzer data from longest ago, while the furthest visible ring(s?) on camera is the most recent analyzer data

yeeeeeees fuck yes dude

yo let's definitely keep this branch, and any other branches like this around.

i'm thinking soon i wanna create an Effects module with tons of effects like this that the user can cycle through

so feel free to PR more late night hacks :)

that slow rolling rotation feels really nice -- like 2001 space odyssey or some shit

scaling cubes based on distance from camera is a sweet idea -- i'm wondering if a similar effect can be achieved by instead changing the field of view / zoom of camera we use. a friend of mine from new zealand, @will-sklenars, has this project (github, website), where he's manipulating the camera's zoom and field of view and shit looks so crazy
