This is a bug fix release and has a fix to a potential crash on Windows platform and a few minor fixes.
Newsflash Plus v4.1.0
This version is compatible with the previous 4.0.0 release. You might want to review your settings though if you're migrating from 4.0.0 to 4.1.0.
New features.
- Newsgroup listing has more information and options. Adds category information for groups and filtering options.
- New history component that tracks your downloads and optional can check for duplicate downloads.
- Nzb drag and drop options for either downloading or viewing content.
- TV Series lookup through omdbapi.com (same as for movies)
And some ~20 bugs were fixed.
Known issues:
- SSL handshake failure on Win8 when trying to use https://nzbsooti.sx
Also on Win8 the performance is impaired by the built-in AV that checks all new files.
This is especially lethal when downloading headers for a newsgroup. You might want to consider disabling the AV check for the folders where you store your header data.
Newsflash Plus v4.0.0
After a long and somewhat painful process we now have a completely new Newsflash Plus. So, what's changed? Well... everything!
Some of the new goodies
- completely new account management
- completely new newslist and header engine
- completely new downloading engine
- completely new repair/extract mechanism
- no more python! (yay, its gone!)
aaaand a ton of other smaller (new) things.
