@d-m-bailey Why did you not update OpenLane to a later tag? Is there a specific reason? Also, can you rebase? |

@marwaneltoukhy I seem to remember there being a problem with timing or something in the newer openlane commits at the the time that I made the initial PR. I'll do a rebase off the main branch. @donn Do you remember the issue and whether or not it's been fixed? If it has, what version of openlane are we using as the default? |

Standardized lvs_config.json, openlane/Makefile, and .gitignore
Removed separate pdk for openlane/LVS functionality. Would result in race conditions for parallel execution.
