Eclipse Tractus-X is a collaborative, open-source project aimed at driving the digital transformation of the automotive industry and beyond. Our mission is to enable secure, efficient data exchange and seamless collaboration across the supply chain using trusted open standards.
Eclipse Tractus-X is the home of the reference implementations used in Catena-X and in several projects from Manufacturing-X. The project develops solutions that foster interoperability between various stakeholders, providing an open ecosystem for data-driven applications. This includes reference implementations and models for supply chain, compliance, sustainability and more.
For the latest Tractus-X release, see the Changelog on our webpage.
Our goal is to create open, scalable and secure reference implementations for a digital ecosystem in the automotive and many other industries that:
- Enable collaboration between suppliers, manufacturers, and partners.
- Facilitate transparency and sustainability in automotive industrial processes.
- Drive innovation across industries through open and community-driven standards.
- Ensure data sovereignty and privacy for all participants.
- Offer an easy entry to various use cases through our KITs (Keep It Together) approach.
- Eclipse Dataspace Components: A solution for secure and standardized data sharing between partners.
- Manufacturing-X: where all the projects based on the Catena-X lighthouse come together to align requirements and collaborate. This are the projects which use and contribute back to Eclipse Tractus-X:
- Catena-X Ecosystem operated for example by Cofinity-X.
- Chem-X: project which brings dataspaces closer to the chemical industry.
- Contruct-X: project which builds a dataspace to the contruction industry.
- Wind-X: the overall aim of Wind-X is to develop a federated, decentralized data space for the wind industry based on a cloud-edge infrastructure
- Energy-Data-X: is developing a cross-sector data space and thus contributing to the realisation of national and European energy and climate protection goals.
- Semiconductor-X: Contributing to a cross-sector international dataspace and digital twin standards for resilient semiconductor supply chains.
We are open for more collaboration!: Join our office hours or our open meeting for the products and ask your questions. If you want to start contributing join our new joiner sesssion or just write the community in our main Eclipse Tractus-X Matrix Chat.
We are an open-source community, and we welcome contributors from all backgrounds. You can get involved in many ways:
If you unfamiliar with our processes or open source in general, get a onboarding meeting with one of our committers here!
Here is what you need to do to contribute:
You will need an Eclipse Foundation account, if you don't have it, please create an account in the Eclipse Foundation -> You will also need a github account 😉 Sign the ECA (Eclipse Contributor Agreement) [is just agreeing that you are not going to do anything bad, add tojans, malware, etc..] and comply to the eclipse foundation contribution guidelines.
