Following the quickstart got you local reviews and nothing else: no statuses, and a push from Dormouse got a 404. This fixes that before it's tried on Dormouse.

What changed

  • Quickstart step 6: it offers commit statuses, and goes through checking the service hosts the repository, installing the App, setting the secret, writing the workflow, checking the run, and what approving means. It only does this if the person says yes.
  • Warnings: it now says that an uncommitted render can't be pushed, and that a story whose play function throws reads as failed.
  • Action: it no longer runs npm install --global pnpm, which would have replaced the pnpm a repository pins. Dormouse pins 12.16.1.
  • Worker: Dormouse is listed, with its own D1 database, selfie-project-1183663019, which already exists.

What was tested

  • pnpm -r test passes.
  • This PR's own Selfie job runs the changed action.

What wasn't tested

  • The new quickstart step itself, and Dormouse's combination of pnpm 12 and Node 24 alongside Node 26 for Selfie. Following it on Dormouse is the test, and the quickstart says this combination hasn't been tried.
  • /simplify wasn't run: this is a guide, one line of an action, and a config entry.

The quickstart stopped at local setup, so following it got no statuses, and a
push from a repository the service doesn't list got a 404. It now offers the rest:
the App, the secret, the workflow, and what approving means. Dormouse is listed,
with a database of its own.

The action no longer installs pnpm globally, which would have replaced the
version a repository pins for its own build.
