NZ Police - Data Visualization

This is a small project which uses R/Shiny/Leaflet and Python to analyze victimization data from NZ Police website. It also uses the Twitter data corresponding to the @nzpolice handle.

Using Python, tweets are extracted and the police data set is prepared. TweetScraper is used for tweet extraction.

R/Shiny/Leaflet are employed to create a an application which demonstrated the use of chloropeths in visualizing data over maps. An interactive time series is also demonstrated.

The underlying vector layers in the map was created(edited) using QGIS3.
