You can call it from the Developer Tools section of Home Assistant, use it in automations, and even combine it with a timedate helper to add build a card from it like this:

Replace `Away Days` with `Away Hours`

Away Days limited resolution to half a day.
Away Hours offers a half hour resolution (and it rounds to the nearest half hour), which is the maximum resolution the thermostat offers.
