Known issues v1.0

Version 1.0 is unstable and currently not ready for production. It is aimed for testing and demonstration.

Known issues are outlined below:

  • JACK client "hard start". The JACK client often fails to connect to the server when starting the bzzzbz application. This never happened on a desktop computer and it is likely to be related to the Pi limited hardware capabilities. It might be related to wrong JACK client management but it might also be a consequence of the hardware prototype loose connection.
  • JACK client crashes after some time when the program is still running, causing the application to freeze. See above for possible causes.
  • Hardware fragility. The current prototype is developed to demonstrate the functionalities of the product and is not durable nor portable. Significant improvements need to be made in the following versions.
  • Screen tearing. This can be fairly significant especially with computationally demanding shaders. Implementing V-Sync should fix this issue
