Introduction

After the migration of CMS HLT machines to RHEL8 (2023 Technical Stop), the existing deployment script has stopped working, and there are no plans for its maintenance.

The new machine constraints were:

• No Docker or equivalent containerization solution available,
• Python 3.8.
• No access to PyPI or GitHub.

Based on them, this set of installation scripts was created, which:

1. Downloads all required files for an offline installation and
2. Builds and installs the DQMGUI in the target machine, completely offline, i.e. no internet connection should be required during installation.

Each release consists of a unique combination of the source code of several repositories, with the most notable ones being:

• dmwm/deployment
• DQMGUI
• ROOT
