  2. Move the Binary to the Nagios Plugins Directory: Place the notify_incident_io binary in your Nagios plugins directory, typically located at /usr/local/nagios/libexec/. You may need to use sudo to copy the binary to this directory.

  5. Add a new contact for incident.io

    define contact {
        contact_name                    incident_io
        alias                           incident.io

        host_notification_period        24x7
        service_notification_options    w,u,c,r
        host_notification_options       d,r
        service_notification_commands   notify_incident_io
        host_notification_commands      notify_incident_io
    }

  6. Add the contact to a contact group

    define contactgroup {
        contactgroup_name       admins
        alias                   Nagios Administrators
        members                 root,incident_io
    }

  7. Add the contact group to a service or host

    define service {
        use                     generic-service
        host_name               localhost
        service_description     PING
