• Default (no modifier keys pressed):

• With ⌥ (Option) key pressed:

Installation

Follow these steps to install the Chechen Latin Keyboard on your macOS system:

1. Download the Installer:

   • Navigate to the Releases section and download the Chechen-Keyboard-Installer.dmg file.

2. Run the Installer:

   • Open the downloaded .dmg file to mount it.

3. Install the Keyboard Layout:

   • From the opened window, drag and drop the Chechen Latin Keyboard into the Keyboard Layouts folder.

Activating the New Layout

Log Out & Log In

For the changes to take effect, you must log out of your current user session and log back in or alternatively, restart your computer.

Activating the Layout

To activate the Chechen Latin keyboard layout, add it to your list of layouts in Keyboard Preferences:

1. Navigate to System Preferences > Keyboard > Input Sources.
2. Click the + icon at the bottom left, search for "chechen" in the search bar, and select the Chechen (Latin, QWERTY, US) layout from the list.

3. To switch to the Chechen layout, click the Input Sources icon in the menu bar and select the Chechen layout.

4. Optionally, you can also open the onscreen keyboard by clicking on Show Keyboard Viewer in the menu bar to view all the characters in the layout.
