The aim is to design an Integrated Development Environment to build software for multi-agent systems. The IDE shall provide facilities to compose algorithms at a high-level (ideally in a visual manner), and compile them over multiple stages into binaries and program the hardware over-the-air (OTA).

Programming and Compiler Toolchain for Swarm Robots

This research develops a user-friendly IDE for programming swarm robots, supporting both virtual and physical platforms. It features block-based visual programming for designing and automating swarm behaviors, including task allocation and object finding. The IDE converts algorithms into C++ and Java, enabling seamless compilation and execution, as demonstrated in the PeraSwarm project.

Key Features

  1. High-Level Algorithm Composition
  2. Automatic Code Generation
  3. Over-the-Air (OTA) Programming
