Create Slack/Mattermost channel

This will be the main means of communication during the event and for questions about workshops. (work with head of recruitment to field questions).

For 2019, we created the slack workspace 2019uibrainhack.slack.com (ask [email protected] for invite to see as reference).

The brainhack community, however, has moved to mattermost, so we may wish to switch over so participants can access the broader brainhack community.

Organize Pre Brainhack Workshops

2019 Reference

Working with the Head of Recruitment (to be able to place this information in the registration form), decide what will be covered before the brainhack, when, and where physical meet-ups will be (if there are office hours and or in-person workshops)

  • special workshops from the ISRC will cost $100 for 1 hour, and $250 for 3 hours

Curate/Find People to Administer Tutorials during brainhack

2019 Reference: Tutorials

2018 Reference: Workshops from Organizations

At least one tutorial should be based off the repronim (reproducible neuroimaging) teaching materials

Remind people/Setup Space for Unconference

Unconferences are little talks given by participants about problems/topics that come up during the brainhack that someone could help provide more context for or talk about something they found interesting. Work with the Head of Logistics to make sure there is space for unconferences and REMIND people to sign up for unconference sessions with a google sheet or some type of sign up form that everyone can access.
