dotconfig-ministation

.config folder from my Fedora Workstation penboot installation, called ministation

features

  • has a heavily customized NeoVim installation with an NvChad base configuration containing support for a wide variety of languages via lsps, linters, formatters, debuggers, and treesitters, along with some general QoL plugins.
  • ideal workflow is to use tmux for terminal multiplexing, neovim for editing, and firefox for testing web-related tasks.

notes

configuring neovim to use biome for js/ts/jsx/tsx/json formatting

first install biome locally in your project via

$ npm i -D @biomejs/biome

then create a file called biome.json in your project's root folder and use the following config as a base

{
	"$schema": "./node_modules/@biomejs/biome/configuration_schema.json",
	"organizeImports": {
		"enabled": true
	},
	"formatter": {
		"enabled": true,
		"formatWithErrors": true,
		"indentStyle": "tab",
		"indentWidth": 2,
		"lineWidth": 140
	},
	"javascript": {
		"formatter": {
			"quoteStyle": "single",
			"jsxQuoteStyle": "single"
		},
		"globals": ["__DEV__"]
	},
	"linter": {
		"enabled": true,
		"ignore": ["node_modules"],
		"rules": {
			"all": true,
			"complexity": {
				"noUselessFragments": "off"
			},
			"style": {
				"useSingleVarDeclarator": "off",
				"noParameterAssign": "off",
				"noNonNullAssertion": "off"
			},
			"suspicious": {
				"noExplicitAny": "off"
			},
			"nursery": {
				"all": false
			}
		}
	}
}

none-ls and the biome lsp should now be working with any js/ts/jsx/tsx/json file while using neovim
