Among the other things Tilak does, he generously hosts BAS observing sessions at his farm, around 100Km from Bangalore with dark skies. During the observing season, Tilak also offers beginner's stargazing sessions with food and accommodation at a nominal pricing.
Your friendly neighbourhood battery store should be able to sell you distilled water. As on the date of writing (Nov 2015), distilled water seems to retail at about Rs. 20 ~ Rs. 30 per litre.
