This is the initial release of the Matomo module for Backdrop and it should be compatible with the 7.x-2.11version for Drupal 7.

Because Backdrop has a config system that is used instead of variables and has removed the PHP Filter module from core, integration with the Variables API and PHP Filter will not work.
