Issue

Hello, maintainers! Thanks for making a new fancy sample application.

While reviewing the code, I noticed that a deprecated API was being used. Since IntentCompat.getParcelableExtra can be used as a replacement, I updated the code accordingly.

Summary of Changes

Hello @l2hyunwoo, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request updates the MainActivity.kt file to utilize IntentCompat.getParcelableExtra for handling parcelable data from intents. This change ensures that the application uses a modern, non-deprecated API for retrieving parcelable extras, improving code maintainability and compatibility across various Android versions without manual API level checks.

Highlights

  • API Modernization: Replaced the deprecated intent.getParcelableExtra method with IntentCompat.getParcelableExtra for retrieving parcelable extras from an Intent.
  • Dependency Management: Removed the android.os.Build import as the explicit API level check is no longer necessary, and added the androidx.core.content.IntentCompat import.

Code Review

This is a great pull request that correctly replaces the usage of a deprecated getParcelableExtra API with the recommended IntentCompat.getParcelableExtra. This change simplifies the code by removing the manual Android version check and the associated deprecated API suppression. The use of IntentCompat also improves type safety, making the code more robust. The changes are clean and improve the overall quality of the codebase.
