Android library to capture screenshot from your app

Features

• Capture all the contents of the screen, includes:

  • Google Maps (MapView, SupportMapFragment)
  • Dialogs, context menus, toasts
  • TextureView
  • GLSurfaceView

• Set a specific view(s) to prevent it from capturing.

• No permissions are required.

Installation

Add this to your module build.gradle file:

dependencies {
	...
	 compile "com.github.tarek360:instacapture:1.2.2"
}

Add this to your root build.gradle file (not your module build.gradle file) :

allprojects {
	repositories {
		...
		maven { url "https://jitpack.io" }
	}
}

How to use InstaCapture ?

• To capture a screenshot with ScreenCaptureListener.

   InstaCapture.getInstance(activity).capture().setScreenCapturingListener(new ScreenCaptureListener() {

      @Override public void onCaptureStarted() {
          //TODO..
      }
      @Override public void onCaptureFailed(Throwable e) {
          //TODO..
      }
      @Override public void onCaptureComplete(Bitmap bitmap) {
          //TODO..
      }
    });

OR

• To capture a screenshot with RxJava 1

 Subscription subscription = InstaCapture.getInstance(activity).captureRxV1().subscribe(new SingleSubscriber<Bitmap>() {
        @Override public void onSuccess(Bitmap bitmap) {
            //TODO..
        }

        @Override public void onError(Throwable error) {
            //TODO..
        }
 });

//OnDestroy
 subscription.unsubscribe();

• To capture a screenshot with RxJava 2

Disposable disposable = InstaCapture.getInstance(activity).captureRx().subscribeWith(new DisposableSingleObserver<Bitmap>() {
        @Override public void onSuccess(Bitmap bitmap) {
            //TODO..
        }
        @Override  public void onError(Throwable e) {
            //TODO..
        }
});

//OnDestroy
disposable.dispose();

• To ignore view(s) from the screenshot.

.capture(ignoredView); or .captureRx(ignoredView);

• To enable logging.

InstaCaptureConfiguration config = new InstaCaptureConfiguration.Builder().logging(true).build();
InstaCapture.setConfiguration(config);
