Context

The contents of this repository and wiki pages is mainly targeted for TUM students, who are attending the 'Embedded Systems Programming Laboratory' during summer term 2020. While the lab exercises and project was originally based on actual embedded hardware, this time a different approach was chosen to get hands-on experience with sort of real-time systems by unsing an (POSIX-based) x86 Emulator running FreeRTOS.

Non-TUM students and everyone else who is interested in this topic should be able to work with the contents available in this repository, but some wiki sections, like f.e. the provided VirtualBox image with the toolchain preinstalled might only be helpful for the ones who have access to it.
