- Download the template configure_wifi.zip and unzip its content.
-
[IMPORTANT!!!] Using your favourite text editor, amend the file
configure_wifi.cfg
with your Wi-Fi details - don't add or remove any lines e.g., don't pressENTER
after each line orBACKSPACE
to remove the lines. You should only delete characters usingBACKSPACE
to replace them with your Wi-Fi credentials.
The reason for the above steps is described in this comment.
- Create a folder called
recover
on your SD card, and copyconfigure_wifi.cfg
onto it. - Insert the SD card into your camera
- Power ON your camera
The case was discussed along the issue #350 if you need more details.
Once you change the Wi-Fi settings using WebUI, it will create a backup of the previous configuration on the SD - Example /tmp/sd/mtdblock2_20240219070942.bin
If your WiFi - Credentials were incorrect and something is not working as intended, you can recover the settings:
- Create a folder called
recover
on your SD card - Rename the backup file from
mtdblock2_20240219070942.bin
tomtdblock2_recover.bin
- Copy
mtdblock2_recover.bin
onto therecover
folder - Boot your camera
