In the StreamOpsModule spells defines a MakeStream factory which in contrast to the Stream factory from the standard library evaluates the arguments by name and thus on-demand.

The defaults can be found in the reference.conf file and the Configuration wiki page shows how to override as well as retrieve them programmatically.
