This PR mostly removes code that have gone to different packages.

Also, version has been bumped to the next major, as the changes can break production environments, and Travis CI configuration has been improved.
Last minute change: we only support Elixir 1.4 as minimum, as it has been some time from there and it's time to upgrade!
