Brabant system integration documentation

#Introduction This wiki entails the documentation to the Brabant energy system integration model developed by EIRES, TUe and Zenmo. The model is a digital twin of Brabant's energy system in which multiple transition pathways can be simulated by using an interactive dashboard. The model gives a full overview of the system by connecting the local, regional and national level and looking at sector-coupling between heating, mobility and electricity.

Model goal

The goal of the model is to investigate renewable energy strategies on two key points

  1. The potential of local energy balancing
  2. Connecting the heating, mobility and electricity demand in a local and regional energy system

The model has an interactive dashboard in which decision makers can explore the interconnection between local, regional and national developments in energy balancing, and the interconnection between different energy carriers utilised for different energy consumption domains.

Model set-up

The model is an agent-based model.
