Currently our github actions are configured for Windows and Mac. The Unity Editor also runs on Linux so we should offer that configuration as well.
This will make it possible to:
- include a linux version for future releases published on github
- run UnityDataTools tests on Linux to make sure they remain cross platform
UnityDataTools fits along side the Unity Editor, so the expectation would be that it will only be run on linux devices that are suitable to run the Unity Editor. Therefore our choice of architecture, configuration, system requirements etc can be driven by what the Unity Editor supports.
