@vanderwb , I'm still sorting out mkdocs and could use some help. When I try your branch I see this error

Error: MkDocs encountered an error parsing the configuration file: while constructing a Python object
cannot find module 'pymdownx.emoji' (No module named 'pymdownx')
  in "mkdocs.yml", line 110, column 24

Do you know what I'm missing?

@sherimickelson - I haven't seen that before, but my guess would be either:

a) Your mkdocs environment needs updating
b) You haven't checked out the theme submodule

If neither of those is the case, we could try to find a time to interactively debug the issue.

In the interest of expediency, feel free to just look at the commit and check the clarity of the communication. Thanks again!
