• Update base image to latest version of Raspbian (based on Debian Stretch)

• Fix "initial message" bug that occasionally resulted in absurdly high bufferReferenceTime values.

• Add intermittent server pinging. (This fixes dropped connections bug when server is hosted on AWS, and makes the disconnection–reconnection updates below possible.)

• Improve how disconnection–reconnection gets handled, and improve feedback to the user when connection to server is lost.
