Installation

Follow these steps to set up the project:

  1. Clone the Repository:

    git clone https://github.com/Softdiscover/Sample-Custom-Gutenberg-Blocks.git
    cd custom-gutenberg-blocks
  2. Install Genesis Blocks and Genesis Custom Blocks:

  3. Activate Plugins:

    • Go to your WordPress dashboard, navigate to Plugins, and activate both Genesis Blocks and Genesis Custom Blocks.

Usage

  1. Download Child Theme:

    • download this repo and add astra-child folder to themes folder
  2. Activate the Child Theme:

    • Go to your WordPress dashboard, navigate to Appearance > Themes, and activate your new child theme.
  3. Create and Add Custom Blocks:

    • Use the Genesis Custom Blocks interface to create new blocks, and reference your custom code as needed.

Customization

You can customize your custom blocks by editing the following files:

  • blocks/block.php: Handles the server-side rendering of your block.
  • blocks/block.css: Contains the styles for your block.

Feel free to modify these files to suit your specific needs.
