Hi there, i'm Simon 👋

I’m a Software Engineer specialized in Developer Tools. I work on Microsoft Playwright, an end-to-end browser testing framework.

Previously, I worked at Netlify on all things developer-facing; built a job-queueing solution called Quirrel (sold to Netlify); and received a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from Hasso Plattner Institute near Berlin.

I’m the author of the popular SuperJSON library, was part of the React 18 Working Group, and contributed to projects like Next.js, Apache Traffic Server and Pandas.

Outside my profession, I enjoy woodworking, all kinds of design, cooking and cycling. I’m based in Berlin. Reach out if you want to have a coffee!
