Traditional RNA sequencing methods measure gene expression in bulk populations of cells, providing an average expression profile.
In contrast, scRNA-seq allows researchers to capture the gene expression patterns of individual cells within a population, enabling a more detailed understanding of cellular heterogeneity and the identification of rare cell types.
