Revert docker image to ubuntu; fix babysitter

Changes:
* reverted to ubuntu:rolling because base-debian11 is missing
  packages/libraries that are needed even for simple apps to build and
  run properly (e.g., glibc);
* update the trace saver to be compatible with the new API
