Ivory (Persona)
Ivory is a 20 year old student at Aiken Technical College. She just started her 3rd year there and is looking for internships for next summer.
Ivory has been interested in medical science for quite a few years now. She has been taking medicine related classes all throughout high school and decided to major in medical coding. She is from a small town in Florida and is the first one in her family to major in medicine related study.
Ivory also loves traveling to new places and meeting new people. She has been all over the United States and has friends in all places. She considers herself an extrovert and is a heavy social media user.
Ivory is eager to connect with potential employers and wants to make it as easy as possible for them to reach her as well. She attends as many job fairs as she can and even personally visits employers in the area in order to increase her chances of getting an internship. She still wishes there was an easier way to share her information with potential employers.
Ivory also wants to be able to share her contact information with classmates. Majority of her assignments are benefited by collaboration with other students. Therefore, she shares contact info with everyone in the class but often times feels it is difficult to get to everyone.
Ivory is nearing her final year in college and is looking to gain some experience through internships to amp up her resume. She is concerned that she has very few connections in her field of study because she doesn’t know anyone here and because of her family background.
When Ivory meets new people she always tries to keep in touch through social media. She finds it a hassle to have to wait for type in the entire username and says of the situations “Most people have different usernames for their different socials, so it takes forever to share information and even longer when there’s big groups of us.” Talking about a media and data sharing app that is popular among college students Ivory says “I still don’t know how to add people on there. We kind of just email each other the link.”
Ivory wants to be able to share her contact information with potential employers and with her friends and classmates. She would like to do so easily and without too much effort
