Commercial Vehicle Model (CVM) updates in the previous version reduced overall traffic volumes on freeways. This resulted in a new effort to improve highway and transit validation of base year 2022.

- Fixed transit network bug and recalibrated transit ridership
- Updated commercial vehicle demand and recalibrated resident models to get highway validation to acceptable levels

During the production runs for testing the 2025 Regional Plan initial concept, updates were made to improve firm synthesis and calibration of the Commercial Vehicle Model (CVM).

Initial release of ABM3 for use in the 2025 Region Plan (RP). The primary change from ABM2+ is the transition from the Java-based CT-RAMP modeling platform to the open-source Python-based ActivitySim platform.

14.3.0
Since the adoption of 2021 Regional Plan (RP) in December 2021, additional model improvements were made, including input changes, software bugs fixes, and new model features. These improvements triggered releasing of ABM version 14.3.0, an update from version 14.2.2 used in 2021RP. ABM version 14.3.0 is for post 2021RP Service Bureau and other project level studies. Improvements included in version 14.3.0 are:
- Employment allocation corrections
- A cross-border model bug fix,
- Airport model update
- Airport enplanement forecast update
- Land use customization procedures in ABM2+ version 14.3.0 for project level modeling.
