Vid is a fully dynamic, web-based video player integrated with the YouTube Data API. This project aims to provide a seamless and enriched video experience, featuring additional functionalities such as video editing and converting. Built using Flask, Vid is designed to offer an intuitive and user-friendly interface, ensuring ease of use while delivering powerful features for video enthusiasts.

Project Structure and Files:

  • app.py: This is the main application file that sets up the Flask server and routes. It handles the various endpoints such as home, player, edit video, convert video, and about.
  • templates/: This directory contains all the HTML templates used for rendering the web pages.
    • home.html: The homepage of the application, welcoming users and providing an overview of the features.
    • player.html: The video player page, where users can watch videos retrieved from YouTube.
    • edit_video.html: The video editing page, offering tools to trim, crop, and apply filters to videos.
    • convert_video.html: The video conversion page, allowing users to convert videos to different formats.
