Things that are different to 1.8.9:

  • 1.7.10 versions of everything that's Minecraft-dependant
  • use 1.7.10 methods of rendering

Otherwise the same things apply to this version as well.

I'm sorry...
But this lib is too good to not make my mod more gay.
.. catfoxdragongirl, also known as ender

(sorry, the mod has to have mixins now)

Legacy Fabric is run by a group of trolls and bigots. I don't think we should port this to their loader.

If you have a different alternative that is not forge, please let me know and I'll happily port it to that instead.

When Quilt exits beta, I (andor others) may start working on the de-facto Legacy mod loader, but that's far in the future. Of course, it's not guaranteed to happen, but a few people have been alluding to working on such a project. Other than Forge, you're kind of out of options. I agree that this is quite the sticky situation, but I hope there will be a viable option sometime soon.
