Current Behavior
Nearcore is currently in the previous version, and there is a new protocol update.
New Behavior
Nearcore is now set to 2.3.0-rc.1.
Breaking Changes
The new protocol version will be enforced by NEAR soon, even though the update itself isn't breaking.
