pdf2asciidoc: A Docker Container for Converting PDF to AsciiDoc

This repository contains the Dockerfile for pdf2asciidoc, a container that converts PDF files to AsciiDoc format using pdfminer.six and pandoc.

Building the Dockerfile

Run the build.sh` script to build the Dockerfile.

Running the Container

To run the container, use the run.sh script. The script assumes, that you have a PDF file in the current directory named myPdf.pdf. The script will mount it into the container and convert the PDF file to AsciiDoc. The result file will be written to the new directory output.

Alternatively, you can run the container manually:

docker run -v ./myPdf.pdf:/input.pdf -v ./output:/output  nicklas2751/pdf2asciidoc:1.0.0

The container expects the input file to be /input.pdf and will write the output file to the folder /output.
