Problem description

I want to cite this repo in a publication.

Proposed solution

Would be nice to have Cite this repository button. https://docs.github.com/en/repositories/managing-your-repositorys-settings-and-features/customizing-your-repository/about-citation-files

I hope you are interested to be cited, because currently I am struggling how to cite this package in my paper. :D

Maybe @piever has an opinion on this as the original author?

Maybe the citation.cff approach is the most sensible, with @jkrumbiegel 's name (as current maintainer) and mine (as original author)?

I don't think I would ever have the bandwidth to write a manuscript on AlgebraOfGraphics, but maybe it's easy enough to set up a DOI on Zenodo?

I might be able to set up something on JOSS. It did not take terribly long with Makie and it looks much better than zenodo with its kinda random metadata

At least DOI would be already great
