Inquiry: Project 5 - Dashboard for tracking WESTPA simulation progress

Hi @jeremyleung521 and @orbeckst,
I am a Data Science student with a strong background in Python and data visualization. I am very interested in Project 5 (Dashboard for tracking WESTPA simulation progress) as it perfectly matches my interest in building real-time monitoring tools.
I have reviewed the MDAnalysis GSoC 2026 blog post and the AI policy. I am currently exploring the WESTPA framework and its work managers.
To better prepare my pre-proposal:
Do you have a preferred tech stack for the dashboard ( Streamlit, Dash, or Plotly)?
Are there any "good first issues" or small tasks related to WESTPA or MDAnalysis that I could work on to demonstrate my skills?

Hello @Haz3m-m7hmoud , thank you for your interest. Unfortunately, you missed the deadline for pre-proposals. You're of course still welcome to participate in our projects but it won't be possible as a GSOC applicant with MDAnalysis. Please see our blog post with all deadlines.
